Electronic hygrometers are usually pre-calibrated. If you want to check the calibration: salt test method — place in a sealed bag with a saturated solution of common salt (NaCl) for 8 hours — it should display 75% RH ± 3%.
What is the battery life?
The duration varies depending on the model and the display update frequency. Generally, expect 6 to 12 months for standard batteries. A low battery indicator appears on the LCD screen.
