Oiled nubuck leather, a living material
Nubuck is cowhide leather whose grain, that is, the outer side of the skin, has been very lightly sanded to give it a velvety feel. When it is then nourished with oils, it gains suppleness and resistance, and takes on this highly sought-after two-tone appearance: the more heavily used areas darken or lighten slightly, revealing the grain of the skin and giving the leather depth.
This treatment has another virtue: it makes the material more tolerant of minor everyday marks. A light scratch often fades with a simple rub of the finger, as the oils migrate and even out the color. Over the months, the document case develops a unique patina, characteristic of its owner and their habits. It is a leather that does not seek to stay new: it is made to be carried, handled, taken everywhere, and it improves with use.

Yes. Like all pieces in the Voyageur Collection, the TRIBUNE document case includes a first free laser engraving. You can include initials, a first name, a name, a memorable date or a short motto. The laser marks the leather with precision; the engraving then becomes an integral part of the object and develops a patina with it. Choose a short, legible text: simplicity looks best on leather. If you are unsure about the wording or layout, our customer service team will advise you before production.
How to add a logo or additional engraving?
The first engraving is free. To go further, go to the "Engraving options" box, just below the add to cart button, and check the desired option: "Add my logo" (€14.90 per item) to engrave a company, club or event logo, or "Add an additional text area" (€5.90 per item) for a second text. The option is automatically added to the cart, at a rate of one per ordered item. For a logo, we will ask you for the file by email after the order: choose a vector file or a high-definition image, simple and well-contrasted, for a sharp result. What computers can fit in the document case?
The main compartment holds a laptop up to 14 inches. For compatibility, it fits the MacBook Pro 14 inches (31.3 × 22.1 cm), as well as an 11-inch tablet. As external dimensions vary from one brand and generation to another, the safest thing is to compare the width and depth of your computer to the bag's dimensions (38 × 26.5 cm). For anything over 14 inches, or for a very thick model, choose a larger bag.
What is the trolley strap for?
On the back of the bag, a trolley strap forms a loop into which you slide the telescopic handle of a wheeled suitcase. The bag then rests flat against the suitcase and travels with it: you can cross a train station or airport hands-free, without carrying anything on your shoulder. For a secure fit, extend the suitcase handle, slide the bag up from the bottom until it rests flat, then check that it is stable before rolling. Once you arrive, simply remove it and take it by its two leather handles to enter your meeting.
What storage does the bag offer?
The TRIBUNE brings together the essentials without adding bulk. On the outside, a phone pocket holds a smartphone up to 6.9 inches, accessible without opening the main closure. Inside, next to the laptop compartment, two accessory pockets are provided for the charger and the mouse. You can also slide in a few sheets, a slim notebook or a cable. Just make sure not to overload these pockets: an object that is too bulky would put pressure on the computer and distort the leather's lines.
How to care for oiled nubuck leather?
Oiled nubuck cowhide requires little maintenance. For everyday use, a soft, dry cloth is enough to remove dust. Small marks often fade with a rub of the finger, as heat makes the oils migrate. Once or twice a year, apply a thin layer of colorless nourishing balm suitable for oiled leathers, after testing on a discreet area. If the bag has been wet, let it dry naturally in the air, away from a radiator. Avoid household products, solvents and colored waxes, which would alter the two-tone appearance.
