Wipe it gently if you notice smudges. Inside, the Spanish cedar should not be treated with varnish or cleaners: it must remain raw to regulate humidity. Occasionally inspect your cigars and the wood for any signs of mold. If the humidor remains unused for a long time, air it out and perform a short seasoning again before using it.
