Transparent Acrylic Cedar Tray

The CRYSTAL WOOD is based on a rare proposition in the world of compact humidors: making the collection entirely visible while maintaining active preservation. Its four-sided transparent acrylic body displays your selection from every angle — without opening, without handling. The hermetic closure with gold clasps confines moisture inside. A Spanish cedar tray ensures natural hygroscopic regulation and aromatic enrichment of the cigars placed on it. The hygrometer integrated into the lid, visible through the transparency from the outside, provides a real-time reading. The included humidifier and pipette allow for precise refilling without risk of overflow. Compact format: 20.5 × 11 × 10 cm, 20 cigars.

Acrylic + cedar — two materials, two distinct roles

The transparent acrylic serves as a container: hermetic sealing, mechanical resistance, and total transparency for the visual display of the collection. It is a stable, non-porous material that does not regulate humidity — it confines it.

The Spanish cedar tray (Cedrela odorata) handles active preservation inside. Its natural hygroscopic properties absorb excess moisture when the humidity rises and release it when the air dries out — a natural balance that complements the humidifier. Its aromatic terpenes migrate into the cigars placed directly on it and gradually enrich their organoleptic complexity. The CRYSTAL WOOD is not just a hermetic plastic box — it is active preservation through cedar in a transparent format.

Limitation to be aware of: the cedar surface is that of a tray (veneer), not a solid wood structure. Aromatic enrichment and regulation occur through direct contact — ideal for a selection to be enjoyed in the coming weeks rather than for aging over several years.

Total transparency — the humidor that displays as much as it preserves

The CRYSTAL WOOD reverses the usual paradigm of humidors: where wood or leather boxes hide the collection behind an opaque facade, it exposes it entirely on all sides. Four transparent acrylic walls make every cigar a visible element, an object presented — as in a leather goods or watchmaker's display case.

The gold clasps on both sides of the lid add a precise and secure finish. The Spanish cedar tray visible under the cigars reminds us that behind the contemporary design, preservation remains active and natural. The CRYSTAL WOOD looks just as at home on a desk as it does in a living room — an object you show off as much as you use.

Setup — 4 steps

1
Initial humidification of the cedar tray: before the first loading, lightly moisten the tray with a few drops of distilled water using the pipette. The cedar, even in veneer, benefits from light initial impregnation to optimize its hygroscopic properties from the start.
2
Loading the humidifier: use the provided pipette to deposit distilled water only into the humidifier. The pipette allows for precise refilling in the cylindrical humidifier without risk of overflow onto the cigars. Never use tap water.
3
Arranging the cigars: arrange your cigars in two rows on the cedar tray — visible from all 4 transparent sides. Cigars placed directly on the cedar benefit from optimal aromatic exchange.
4
Hygrometer monitoring: read the hygrometer integrated in the lid — visible through transparency from the outside without any opening. Target range: 65–72%. Refill the humidifier via the pipette as soon as the reading drops below 65%.

Hygrometer integrated into the lid: the hygrometer is physically positioned inside the transparent acrylic lid — it measures the actual humidity of the interior air in contact with the cigars. Its readability from the outside (transparency of the lid) allows for reading without any opening. This is the most accurate configuration for a compact acrylic humidor.

Pipette = risk-free refilling: the cylindrical humidifier of the CRYSTAL WOOD is positioned inside the box, near the cigars. The provided pipette is essential for precise refilling — a few drops of distilled water deposited directly into the humidifier without touching the cigars. Always refill with distilled water only.

Long-term preservation limits: the CRYSTAL WOOD is designed to keep a selection to be enjoyed in the coming weeks, not for aging over several years. The cedar tray actively regulates and enriches, but the wood surface remains limited compared to a solid cedar humidor. To build a long-term aging cellar, look toward a larger capacity solid cedar humidor.

Cigar gift — original and immediately noticed

The CRYSTAL WOOD is among the most distinctive cigar gift ideas: four-sided transparent acrylic, Spanish cedar tray, hermetic closure with gold clasps, lid-integrated hygrometer, humidifier and pipette included. A display case format that exposes the selection as much as it preserves it — immediately noticed when placed on a desk or bar.

Ideal for a birthday, Father's Day, business gift. Combine it with a torch lighter and a cigar cutter to build a complete cigar gift set — delivered ready to use with all accessories.

Frequently asked questions

What does the cedar tray do in an acrylic box?
The Spanish cedar tray ensures active preservation inside the CRYSTAL WOOD. Its porous cellular structure naturally regulates humidity — it absorbs excess when humidity rises and releases it when the air dries out. Its aromatic terpenes migrate into the cigars placed directly on it, gradually enriching their complexity. Acrylic confines the humid atmosphere, cedar regulates and scents it — two materials with complementary and non-substitutable roles.
How do I use the pipette to refill the humidifier?
Fill the pipette with distilled water only — never tap water. The cylindrical humidifier is positioned inside the box: the pipette allows you to deposit a few drops directly into it with precision, without the risk of overflow onto your cigars. Refill as soon as the hygrometer integrated into the lid drops below 65%. Usual frequency: every 2 to 4 weeks.
Where is the hygrometer located and how is it read?
The hygrometer is integrated inside the acrylic lid. The total transparency of the lid makes it readable from the outside without any opening — it measures in real-time the humidity of the air in contact with the cigars. This is the most accurate configuration for a compact humidor: the reading reflects the actual preservation conditions, not the ambient outside temperature.
Can the CRYSTAL WOOD accommodate Churchill cigars?
The CRYSTAL WOOD measures 20.5 cm in interior length. Standard Churchills are 178 mm (17.8 cm) — they are compatible with a comfortable margin. Torpedo and Piramides formats (length variable by brand) are also compatible under 200 mm. Double Churchill cigars (over 20 cm) or Presidente formats may exceed the length capacity — check the exact length before purchase. Large ring gauges (Gordo, 60+ cepo) reduce capacity below 20 cigars.
Can the CRYSTAL WOOD be used for long-term aging?
The CRYSTAL WOOD is optimized for a selection to be enjoyed in the coming weeks — active preservation, aromatic enrichment by cedar, maintained humidity. For long-term aging (several months to several years), a larger capacity solid cedar humidor offers more wood mass for long-term regulation and aromatic enrichment. However, the CRYSTAL WOOD can be an excellent display humidor for cigars already aged in a main humidor.
Is the acrylic lid shock-resistant?
Acrylic is a material resistant to moderate impacts, stronger than glass of comparable thickness. It does not shatter upon moderate impact. However, it can be scratched by abrasive surfaces — avoid placing it on rough surfaces or using abrasive cleaning products. A slightly damp microfiber cloth is sufficient for cleaning transparent surfaces.
Is the CRYSTAL WOOD a good gift for a cigar lover?
The CRYSTAL WOOD is one of the most original cigar gift ideas: four-sided total transparency, Spanish cedar tray, hermetic closure with gold clasps, lid-integrated hygrometer, humidifier and pipette included. A display case format immediately noticed on a desk or in a living room. Combined with a torch lighter and a cigar cutter, it makes for a complete and memorable cigar gift set for a birthday, Father's Day, or a business gift.
