Prepare your CARBON humidor before first use
"Seasoning" is an essential step before placing your cigars in a new humidor. Without this preparation, the dry cedar would absorb moisture from your cigars rather than regulate it.

Humidify the interior — gently wipe the cedar walls with a slightly damp cloth (distilled water only). Do not soak — dab.

Charge the humidifier — fill it 50% with distilled water. Place it inside with the hygrometer and close the humidor.

Wait 24 to 48 hours — check the hygrometer. The ideal is to reach a stable 65 to 70%. Repeat if necessary.

Place your cigars — once the humidity is stable, your CARBON humidor is ready to welcome your collection in perfect conditions.
Maintenance tip: use only distilled water in the humidifier — never tap water. Limescale clogs humidification systems and can leave deposits on tobacco leaves. Check the hygrometer every two weeks.
