Important note: the blue LED lighting is only present on the Duo (2 slots) and Squad (4 slots) versions. The Solo (1 slot) version does not include the LED — it is the ideal choice if you prefer a completely sober and natural walnut wood look, or for use in a bedroom where night light would be bothersome.

If you don't know the exact TPD of your watch, Mode 3 (bi-directional) is the universal choice that suits the vast majority of modern automatic watches. For sensitive complications (perpetual calendar, tourbillon), prefer Mode 4 which is gentler on the mechanism.
Optimal use: the WoodWind can operate continuously 24/7 without risk to your watch — programmed pause cycles prevent overwinding. For Duo and Squad versions, the blue LED lighting can be activated in display mode (presentation, evening) or deactivated in discreet mode (daily use, bedroom).
